How to Move Controls
How-to-Move-Controls.RmdPurpose: To move batches of dry blood spots and whole blood controls. Controls and samples have separate processes for uploads and searches, and require different reference information. All control uploads require metadata about the control being uploaded as well as logistical information, such as what freezer the control is located in.
How to move DBS Control Sheets
When you move DBS control sheets, you need to provide the following information
- SheetName - The label on the control sheet
- SourceBagName - Name of the bag that the sheet was in
- DestBagName - Name of the bag that the sheet was moved to
- Batch - The control batch
- ControlUID - The control UID for the controls on the sheet
- Exhausted - The number of exhausted spots
All of this information can be found using the search functionality in the search panel.
NOTE: The current implementation will only allow you to move sheets that have blood spots with the same control UID from a single batch. This can be updated so that a sheet with multiple control UIDs can be moved.
